Economic/Legislative Update from C.A.R.

We’ve invited two California Association of REALTORS® representatives to speak to local agents in a Region 2-wide Zoom presentation on Tuesday, May 24 at 10 am.

C.A.R’s Deputy Chief Economist Oscar Wei will present a housing market update highlighting trends in Northeastern California. With interest rates rising at a pace not seen in the past, housing affordability and consumers’ desire to buy will play a big role in the market. Wei will provide some insights on the direction of the market in the second half of 2022.

Wei has been doing real estate research and economic analysis for C.A.R. since 2003.

Also, new Governmental Field Representative Roberto Moreno will provide a legislative update and speak about the Realtor Action Fund and the importance of voting.

Moreno will explain Red Alerts, Calls for Action and update the group on redistricting.

Moreno has a degree in political science and is in his first year of law school.
